Each day, our pediatric professionals provide outpatient mental health services to children and young adults, so they may reach their maximum potential to participate in everyday activities, helping our community with a wide variety of mental health concerns and life stressors.
For the month of May, our team has created a full month of activities planned for children, families and our own staff, to show our support of Mental Health. We all can use the reminder to take time for ourselves, as self-care is an important piece of wellness. We are encouraging a “Mental Health Cleanse”, for anyone who would like to a make conscious effort to take time for yourselves.
A few ideas to get you started:
- Spend less time on electronics
- Practice gratitude daily
- Exercise more
- Take time to read
- Get more sleep
- Practice positive self-talk/self-love daily
- Say “no” once in awhile
- Dive into Netflix
- Get outside! Go for a walk or a bike ride
- Cuddle with your dog/cat (or a friends’)
We are proud of our compassionate team of Mental Health experts, who are committed to making a difference in a child’s life. Each day, working alongside the families every step of the way.
